Please join us in welcoming Scott Wilson, Sarah Wayne Callies and Chandler Riggs to TFW 2014!
In October 1994 three filmmaking students disappeared in the woods near Burkittsville, Maryland while shooting a documentary. A year later, their footage was found. THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT is arguably one of the most influential horror films of our time. It spawned an entire sub-genre of filmmaking that has since been dubbed as ‘found footage.’ In the aftermath of the TBWP’s massive success lie films like PARANORMAL ACTIVITY, [REC], CLOVERFIELD and countless others.
Eduardo Sanchez is currently in post-production on his Texas lensed bigfoot feature EXISTS. He has promised TFW attendees a sneak peek at the new film in a Q&A panel hosted by Rue Morgue’s resident cryptozoologist Lyle Blackburn. Eduardo has also directed Altered, Lovely Molly, Seventh Moon and most recently the segment in ‘A Ride in the Park’ for V/H/S/2.
Joshua Leonard has a role in the upcoming remake of THE TOWN THAT DREADED SUNDOWN, and has been recently in SHARK NIGHT 3D and episodes of HUNG. Michael C. Williams starred in Eduardo Sanchez’s Altered, Daniel Myrick’s The Objective and more. Heather Donahue also starred in the critically acclaimed hit TV show TAKEN produced by Steven Spielberg.
Join us in welcoming Bill Moseley, Alexa Vega and Nivek Ogre to TFW 2014 for a ver special Repo! The Genetic Opera reunion. Additionally, we’re welcoming the return of Amber Does Dallas (ADD) as they will perform their shadowcast of Repo! The Genetic Opera at TFW 2014! Last year’s ADD performance of the Rocky Horror Picture Show shadowcast was standing room only and we expect the same for Repo! The Genetic Opera.
Alexa Vega is best known for her role as Carmen Cortez in the Spy Kids film series and Shilo Wallace in Repo! the Genetic Opera. Alexa can currently be seen in the visceral action-movie spoof Machete Kills as the lady-assassin, Killjoy.
Bill Moseley is a genuine horror icon having played Chop-Top in Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, Otis in Rob Zombie’s House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil’s Rejects and Tom Savini’s 1990 remake Night of the Living Dead. He portrayed Luigi Largo in Repo! The Genetic Opera. Most recently he played Drayton Sawyer in Texas Chainsaw 3D.
Back in 1973, a young musician/actor named Richard O’Brien teamed with director Jim Sharman to create a musical tribute to classic horror movies and classic rock. Originally titled They Came From Denton High, the show was renamed The Rocky Horror Show and eventually developed into a movie called The Rocky Horror Picture Show. The movie was initially a bomb but became a cult hit at midnight movie screenings around the world, inspiring crowds of regular irregulars to dress as their favorite characters, sing along with the songs and shout sarcastic riffs at the screen.
Today, Amber Does Dallas is proud to continue this fine tradition of social degeneracy. The premier shadowcast of the Dallas/Fort Worth area, they produce regular productions of various cult cinema stage shows. Join them as they perform that immortal immoral classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show!
