Grammy-award winning musician, bestselling author and SLIPKNOT and STONE SOUR front man Corey Taylor has joined the Texas Frightmare Weekend 2014 guest list! Additionally, two-time TFW guest Robert Hall will join Corey to introduce TFW attendees to world premiere clips of their new film FEAR CLINIC.

FEAR CLINIC is Corey Taylor’s first featured role in a film. He plays the sarcastic and street-smart orderly Bauer. The role saw Corey acting alongside horror genre icon Robert Englund as well as stars Fiona Dourif, Thomas Dekker and Kevin Gage. ‘Working with Corey was amazing,’ says director Robert Hall. ‘He’s such a huge horror fan and his enthusiasm and excitement shine through. His involvement brings the film to a whole new level, and fans are going to FREAK when they see him in the role.’

As a lifetime horror fan, Corey Taylor said, “I’m such a horror geek, comic geek and action figure geek. I’m inspired by so much—from Hunter S. Thompson and Quentin Tarantino to The Dark Knight and Halloween. Just show me something that doesn’t suck, and I’m happy,” he laughs.

Robert Hall and his Almost Human team have created FX makeup for films such as The Crazies, Devil, Vacancy, Superbad, Prom Night, Pineapple Express, Paranormal Activity 2, and Quarantine.  Robert Hall directed Lightning Bug, Laid to Rest and the sequel Chromeskull: Laid to Rest 2.

Most recently Hall has been busy directing several episodes of MTV’S SMASH TEEN WOLF in some of the series’ most popular episodes to date. His episode “Galvanize”, which features genre actor Doug Jones (Hellboy,), is widely hailed as one of the best of the third season and a fan-favorite.

In 2009 Robert Hall directed the web series “FEAR CLINIC” for FearNet. Hall collaborated to push Fear Clinic forward into a feature-length film. In 2013, Fear Clinic filmed in Ohio. Starring Robert Englund, Fiona Dourif (Curse of Chucky), Thomas Dekker (Laid to Rest), Kevin Gage (Heat), Felisha Terrell (MTV’s Teen Wolf) and Corey Taylor, the film was co-written and directed by Hall and is slated for distribution for October 2014 through Starz/Anchor Bay.

On Saturday, May 3rd TFW 2014 attendees will have the distinct opportunity to be the FIRST to see exclusive clips from FEAR CLINIC! Following the clips Hall and Taylor will take the stage to field questions from the audience.
