Julian Sands at TFW!

We're excited to announce that Julian Sands will be making his first ever convention appearance April 30-May 2 at the southwest's premier horror convention and film festival! Julian is no stranger to the genre, having starred in Gothic, Arachnophobia, Dario Argento's Phantom of the Opera, Naked Lunch and Boxing Helena. Fans will also recognize him from the hit TV show "24" or as Superman's father in "Smallville".

However, Julian is most notable to horror fans as the titular character in Warlock and it's sequel Warlock II: The Armageddon. Please join us in welcoming Julian Sands to TFW 2010!

RUE MORGUE: Black 100 Premiers at TFW

Rue Morgue has announced that they will premiere their 100th issue at Texas Frightmare Weekend April 30-May 2, 2010. Attendees of the southwest's premier horror convention and film festival will have a chance to grab their copy before anyone else.

Founder and president of Rue Morgue, Rodrigo Gudi�o, will be in attendance to present Curious Stories, Crooked Symbols -- featuring his award-winning shorts The Eyes of Edward James, The Demonology of Desire and The Facts In the Case of Mister Hollow. We'll screen said shorts during the convention and Rodrigo will also be on hand to share the latest on his remake of the 1972 horror western Cut Throats Nine.

Guests: Night of the Living Dead

Texas Frightmare Weekend is pleased to welcome Night of the Living Dead's Charles Craig and Gary Streiner. They'll be on hand promoting the new Autopsy of the Dead documentary at our fifth annual horror convention and film festival April 30-May 2 in Dallas. Fans will recall Charles as iconic TV newscaster in the classic film as well as a featured ghoul. While Gary was sound engineer and portrayed a posse member with "another one for the fire."

TFW debuts THE RUFNEX

Texas Frightmare Weekend will host the WORLD premier of THE RUFNEX. The upcoming action / horror comic book tells the harrowing story of a group of merciless prisoners that agree to a near suicide mission on a remote island in exchange for their freedom. Their mission soon takes a horrific turn as they discover the island is crawling with hordes of ravenous zombies. When the carnage begins, they must overcome their differences if they are to escape from the island of the dead.

Actor Marc Macauly and artist/writer Miguel Insignares will be in attendance April 30-May 2 to autograph a special variant edition limited to 250 copies for sale ONLY at the southwest's premier horror convention and film festival.

THE RUFNEX also features the authorized likenesses of Alice Cooper (Theatre of Death), Nestor Carbonell (Lost), John Dolmayan (System of a Down), Jesse James (Jesse James Is a Dead Man), Michael Kelly (The Changeling), Danny Trejo (Machete), and Robin Williams (Worlds Greatest Dad).

Miguel A. Insignares previous credits include the official comic book adaptation for the 2004 film, Dawn of the Dead.
