

Texas Frightmare Weekend is now accepting feature and short film submissions for limited screening opportunities during our fifth annual horror convention and film festival April 30-May 2 in Dallas.
The stand out film of the festival will earn the fan-selected "Texas Frightmare Weekend Audience Award." Previous winners include Emily Hagins' Pathogen and Anthony Brownrigg's Red Victoria.

Texas Frightmare Weekend proudly welcomes Rodrigo Gudiņo to our guest list April 30-May 2, 2010 in Dallas. Rodrigo is founder and president of the Rue Morgue horror empire, which extends beyond its monthly magazine to its own film label, popular radio show, yearly "Festival of Fear" convention and monthly movie screenings. Additionally, Rue Morgue is co-presenting Texas Frightmare Weekend in association with Anchor Bay Entertainment.
Rodrigo is writer/director of Curious Stories, Crooked Symbols -- featuring his award-winning shorts The Eyes of Edward James, The Demonology of Desire and The Facts In the Case of Mister Hollow. We'll screen said shorts during the convention and Rodrigo will also be on hand to share the latest on his remake of the 1972 horror western Cut Throats Nine.
Since our inception, Texas Frightmare Weekend has enthusiastically supported "Texas Frightmakers" by showcasing their work before rabid horror fans and providing a central venue for networking, promotion and the exchange of ideas.
In keeping with this tradition, Texas Frightmare Weekend is pleased to announce the participation of the Texas Motion Picture Alliance at our 5th annual horror convention and film festival April 30-May 2, 2010 in Dallas. TXMPA will present an on-site seminar which current and aspiring filmmakers of all genres won't want to miss. Stay tuned for details.
